Sallie Wyatt-Woodell is a native Houstonian who is dedicated to volunteering and believes in the importance of giving back to her community. Sallie has been a dedicated volunteer in the Houston LGBTQ+ community and with Houston-area animal rescues since 2009. She joined the Board of Out for Education in 2014 and was elected president in 2017. Her work with Out for Education allows her to combine two of her passions: improving the lives of LGBTQIA+ youth and investing in the future of the Houston-area LGBTQ+ community.
Outside of her volunteer work, Sallie is a litigation paralegal for Smyser Kaplan and Veselka. She has been married to Carol Wyatt since 2015 and loves spending time with her wife and their five quirky animals: Charlie, Fiona, Mia Hamm, Molly Ivins, and Toby.
