Rae Sanchez is a native Texan, born and raised in South Texas and has moved around a bit – starting in Harlingen, to San Antonio, to Atlanta, Georgia, and making his way back to Texas landing in Houston in 2012. He is the child of Mexican immigrant parents who decided to plant roots in Texas back in the 1950’s. Rae’s parents knew early on the importance of education and wanted to give their children more than they ever had growing up.

Rae is a graduate of Houston Community College with an Associate degree in Business Administration and holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Houston Downtown in Business Management, Accounting, and Organizational Development & Change.

Rae is the National Government Compliance Program Manager under the Risk & Compliance umbrella at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, a multinational professional services network of firms.  PwC is one firm united by purpose and values that continues to build a culture of belonging; one where we move from awareness to empathy and demonstrate inclusive leadership.  PwC ranks as the second-largest professional services network in the world.

Rae’s hobbies include furniture restoration, gardening, baking, travel, vintage furniture and also has a small furniture business.

Rae has a long history of volunteering and serving on boards including: San Antonio AIDS Foundation, AIDS Services of Austin, Chris Kids of Atlanta, PALS Atlanta (Pets Are Loving Support), Junior Achievement of Georgia, Joining Heart Inc., Atlanta, Fe y Justicia Worker Center Houston, Spring Spirit Houston, The Houston Food Bank, and now Out For Education. He is also one of the PwC Shine LGBTQ+ ERG leaders for the city of Houston.
